The Villa was born inside us first. Before it was land, it was a vision. Before it was a house, it was a choice.
We are Rita Mendes and Sandro Lourenço. After many years outside Brazil, through changes, new beginnings, losses, travels, learning, a great deal of resilience and faith, we felt it was time to put down roots and have a life with more presence, more consciousness, nature and purpose.
I, Rita, am an integrative therapist, and I bring to the Villa systemic awareness, listening, perception, sensitivity and processes of integration of being built over more than 20 years of experience.
I, Sandro, bring structure, presence, technology, solutions and daily building to the Villa. I am the practical part of this dream: the one who helps turn ideas into reality, taking care of the foundations, the details and the construction of each day. Together, we find the balance between feeling and making, dreaming and building, welcoming and sustaining. It is from this union that Villa dos Sonhos is born every day.
More than creating a space, we chose to be a home. To be presence. To be hosts.

Villa dos Sonhos was born from the desire to live with more presence, nature and meaning. A space to slow down, breathe, talk without rushing and reconnect with yourself, with nature and with what truly matters. Here, we believe luxury can also be found in simple things: silence, shared coffee, the fire lit at the end of the day, the sound of water, the open sky and the feeling of finally being able to breathe more deeply.
The Villa is located in Northern Portugal, among fruit trees, natural paths, silence, river, stream and landscapes that invite slowing down. The structure is being built gradually, respecting the timing of the house and the rhythm of life.
Gradually, the Villa will welcome small groups for coffees with conversation, experiences in nature, gatherings around the fire, retreats, therapies, moments of silence, real exchanges and seasonal experiences. Nothing rushed. Our choice is to welcome few people at a time, because we believe connection happens better when there is time to look, listen, talk and simply be.
Villa dos Sonhos is not a rigid space. It is alive, organic and constantly moving, just like nature and life itself. We respect the timing of the land, the seasons, the weather, the seasonal harvest and what the earth offers at each moment.
